Sharrin Fuller of Glass Wallet joined us on September 12th, 2023 for a Firm Spotlight and it was awesome! We had been waiting all summer for this!
A little bit about Glass Wallet
Sharrin has been in the accounting realm since 2006. She had a firm and sold it, thought she was going to take a break but decided to start 2 more accounting firms and Glass Wallet! Glass Wallet is really where her passion is. Building up education, she is launching a new course “Scaleable to Sellable” talking about how to make sure your firm is built solidly from the ground up and helping entrepreneurs build with an exit strategy plan. Fun fact, she actually outsourced for the name Glass Wallet!
Internal tech stack overview
She shared with us the internal tech stack that is being used throughout her multiple companies. She has some people who are using ClientHub for client communication and some who are using Teamwork Desk and Karbon together, Google for anything that can be put on Google, and said how it’s so great that it integrates with pretty much anything. They are using 1Pass for password services, Motion for practice management, Nicejob for reviews, Slack for communication, and Kajabi for website management. We went into detail on ClientHub and she explained how her team is using it and what they love about it. When they onboard a client they have a set task list and everything is assigned to who it needs to be, including the client’s tasks. When everything is set it goes right into their day-to-day tasks. You can go into the client and see what task is done, and what needs attention, and it’s automatically going to the person who needs it and even shows when it was viewed!
External tech stack overview
She also shared the external stack that they are using and it also doesn’t disappoint. They are using Quickbooks Online for accounting, Proconnect for tax, and Glean for payables, and highly recommended for any accrual companies. They are also using Acodei for stripe integration, Rippling for payroll and internal operations, and Anchor for receivables. Anchor is her pride and joy in external apps! Anchor is helping them keep track of invoicing and billing for all of their clients! Sharrin actually sat down with the folks behind Anchor and they really listened to her concerns and helped her build a system for keeping track of these!
