Alicia Pollock of Royalwise and Dan Gertruds of Growth Lab joined us on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 for a Campfire Chat and we talked tech and partnerships!
Royalise provides Quickbooks and Apple training! Alicia’s husband Jaime does the Apple training, and Alicia does the Quickbooks training. They started off doing training for small business owners and are now going to the enterprise level! They have also recently become CPE approved! Alicia was voted Top 50 Women in Accounting, and Top 10 ProAdvisor, and she is a member of the Intuit Trainer/Writer Network. Royalwise is in the middle of a huge change right now, they are changing their focus from just training individuals to now training firms and whole teams as well!
Dan is not a bookkeeper, accountant, or CPA, but ended up in this industry by acquiring a business 10 years ago! He spent the next 10 years building a company that provides the entire value stream from the nuts and bolts of bookkeeping through CFO services and business tax to businesses. Now they have entered the world of process and improvement, selling zaps, and a no-code team. Growth Lab supports over 400 scaling businesses throughout their entire finance value stream. Growthlab has been focused on the economy, doubling down on the customer experience, and has been working with accountant partners to grow their AppStream. They have been working on advertising as well, and now have a team of 5 people working on advertising!
Both of these companies are growing! We asked them both “What direction are you heading in?” Royalwise is now offering training to firms as well as individuals, Alicia is also working on taking all of her transcripts from her courses and publishing them as solo books! 2024 could be full of written material for training instead of just video training! Growth Labs’ big focus for the rest of the year is an operating system for the company. They are also focusing Appstream on business continuity and scalability!
