Help Your E-Commerce Clients By Integrating with Quickbooks Online

Kinga Jasek and Helen Andro from Synder joined us for a Deep Dive on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023. Kinga is the channel marketing manager for Synder, while Helen is the success & accountant program manager.

Kelly Gonsalves was recently on for a firm spotlight and went into some details about Synder which raised SO many questions and now we have answers!

Kinga shared with us that Synder’s key feature is automation. They are bringing the saying “set it and forget it” to reality! Syncing with 30+ e-commerce platforms allows you to take on multiple clients and get them all set up. You will have the option of a daily summary or a per-transaction (sales receipt) sync, letting you choose how to sync with QuickBooks. Then these will be automated so you don’t have to worry about them going forward.

Helen showed us a demo of Synder. She showed us how easy it is to go through the steps. Signing up, granting permission to the platforms you choose, and then selecting your sync settings. From the settings tab you are in charge of what goes where, it is so customizable! Synder was originally designed for business owners but when accountants started using it they set up a temporary holding/clearing account for the accountants to see the transactions. For example with Stripe or Shopify when the “per-transaction” sync is selected, Quickbooks has the clearing/holding account to show all transactions before getting synced by synder. This is helping show the money flow for each platform. You can also choose which accounts you want Synder to send the transactions to. If you’re worried about transactions being paid by payment processors such as PayPal, the details would be combined and only one transaction will be added, instead of duplicates.

This week’s drink was a gorgeous Synder Sunset!
